About

Heartefact is where history meets living. Anna Rowe is an archaeologist and a designer based in Brisbane / Meanjin, Queensland, Australia. With an an eye for detail and a passion for patterns, she enjoys exploring the designs, stories and meanings associated with places and objects from the past.

By investigating and interpreting these hidden narratives, Anna brings historical data to life for contemporary audiences. Her 2025 Digital Collections Catalyst Fellowship project at the State Library of Queensland, Wallflowers: Reimagining Historical Interiors, exemplifies this mission — resurrecting the beauty of forgotten designs through research, analysis and innovation.
